Our Vision
Grandma Raines University has been serving families and helping children learn and grow since 2021, providing care for over 300 families. G.R.U. believes that every child needs a loving, caring, nurturing environment that promotes learning, development, self-esteem and individuality. In addition to teaching, it is our aim at G.R.U. to build strong relationships with not only children, but with families also. We recognize that families are primary caregivers and educators for children, and we offer continued support in their roles of advocating for their rights.
Early Childcare and Education are Fundamental
Nearly 70 percent of children in the United States under age 6—14.7 million children—have all available parents in the workforce, making childcare and early learning programs essential not only for early learning and development, but also for family economic security, allowing caregivers to attend work, school, or job training.
